It’s now easier than ever to take an Edinburgh city break from Cardiff, with Loganair now offering five direct flights between these two capital cities each week, so why not take advantage and head north to experience the Edinburgh Christmas Market this winter.
Edinburgh’s Christmas is a spectacular, six-week period of festive entertainment right in the heart of the city centre. This year, the Edinburgh Christmas Market runs from 12th November 2021 to 5th January 2022, and we’ve found some great options for packages including 3* or 4* hotels conveniently located close to the centre, so you have all the highlights on your doorstep.
As well as the Christmas Market, Santa Land is returning to East Princes Street Gardens, with rides for people of all ages, and for families you’ve got Santa’s Grotto on Castle Street.
We’ve put together the following ATOL-protected packages including your flights from Cardiff to Edinburgh, flying on Thursday 18th November, staying three nights with breakfast included, and returning on Sunday 21st November. Family Breaks
Currently undergoing a full refurbishment ready for this winter (to be finished at the start of November), and right in the heart of the city, the 3* Jury’s Inn is £349pp for two adults and one child (to 11 years) sharing a standard room.
For a family of four (two adults and two children to 11 years) you can stay at the 4* Hotel Indigo in a junior suite for £331 per person.

Flights from Cardiff to Edinburgh
Loganair are now offering flights between Cardiff and Edinburgh five days per week, so we can offer you great flexibility on your Edinburgh city break, whether you fancy one of the three-night trips above, or perhaps you can only manage to escape for the weekend. Flights with Loganair include one 15kg bag per person, plus you get a snack and a drink on board.
Taking the Tram
The easiest way to get from Edinburgh Airport to the city centre is by tram, as they leave the airport every seven minutes during the daytime, and it only takes 30 minutes to get to the city centre stops. This isn’t included in the package, just in case you prefer to take the train or bus, otherwise we can organise private taxi transfers for you.
